Telekom Slovenia completes acquisition of On.Net stake

Telecom Slovenia has acquired a majority 76% stake in Macedonian internet services provider On.Net for EUR4.7 million (USD5.73 million).

Broadband service provider was founded in 2000 by two private investors and the American Private Fund SEAF and has announced its intention to enter the domestic fixed line market. It has around 3,000 permanent subscribers and up to 20,000 who use its network on an ad hoc basis. It also provides wireless access using Wi-Fi technology and claims to have 1,500 users, with its network covering 23% of the population.
