DiGi predicts 60% data revenue growth in 2006

Malaysian cellco DiGi Telecommunications says it expects to maintain its strong data revenue growth in 2006 and forecasts a 60% rise in non-voice revenues to MYR670 million (USD181 million), despite it missing out on a concession in the country’s recent 3G licence auction. The company reported a 57% hike in data turnover in 2005, up to MYR446 million.
