Ericsson won’t count Chinese chickens

According to a report carried by Reuters, Ericsson’s head of operations in Hong Kong, Johan Adler, would not be surprised if the Chinese Ministry of Information Industries (MII) delays the licensing of 3G operators until the third quarter of 2006. Adler is quoted as saying that the reason for the possible delay is that China has begun field tests of TD-SCDMA and could wait until these have been concluded before awarding concessions.
