Rostelecom sells RTK-Sibir

14 Mar 2006

Russian fixed line operator Rostelecom has agreed to sell its regional subsidiary RTK-Sibir, which operates in the Krasnoyarsk region of Siberia, to domestic firm TeleMir for an undisclosed price. The deal involves Rostelecom transferring a 90% stake in RTK-Sibir to TeleMir, which already owns a 10% holding. The move forms part of Rostelecom’s plan to streamline its operations following the liberalisation of Russia’s long-distance and international telephony markets last year.
