Maxis upgrades wireline network

Malaysian telco Maxis Communications has selected Ericsson to deploy its Telephony Softswitch solution as part of its ongoing wireline network modernisation. The contract includes the deployment of a new international gateway switch and the upgrade of an existing switch, as well as the provision of operations and maintenance support for five years. The solution will provide Maxis with a scalable and flexible platform that will cater for international voice and data traffic growth. Deliveries are due to begin this month.
