Telstra rural development draft rejected

9 Mar 2006

Australian Communications Minister Helen Coonan has rejected a draft local presence plan presented by fixed line incumbent Telstra, a vital condition of the telco’s operating licence, according to local news reports. Coonan said that the draft did not contain enough detail about Telstra’s plans for regional and rural services and the telco now has until the end of April to submit a revised document.
