DSL growth boost Arcor results

9 Mar 2006

Fixed line telco Arcor has reported EBITDA of EUR219 million for the first nine months of its full year from April to December 2005, up 39% on the figure reported a year earlier. Revenue for the period grew by 20% to EUR1.402 billion. It attributed the positive results to strong DSL growth; the total number of DSL customers stood at 1.08 million at the end of 2005, up 221% from 336,000 a year earlier. Arcor’s parent company Vodafone has said it plans to sell the unit sometime in 2006.
