Anatel to amend law with pulse-minute change

9 Mar 2006

Anatel plans to spend part of 2006 drafting amendments to the telecoms law and eliminating ‘per pulse’ charges, writes BNamericas quoting the regulator’s advisory council president Luis Johns Cuza. The changes are designed to provide cheaper fixed line telecoms access using ‘per minute’ billing, while other priorities focus on using the universal service fund Fust to install phone lines and internet access in schools.
