Telenor and Nokia trial converged services

3 Mar 2006

Norwegian incumbent Telenor says it has teamed up with Nokia to trial a fixed-mobile converged service. The duo are assessing the ability to deliver IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) services over Nokia’s D500 DSLAM multiservice broadband platform, including VoIP calls between mobile and fixed line users and gaming and video sharing on a converged platform. The trials began last year.
