Magyar Telekom’s internet arm T-Online Hungary will launch an IPTV service in the second half of this year, according to local business journal Világgazdaság citing the unit’s chief executive György Simó. T-Online has already begun testing the service and hopes to sign up around 100,000 users in the medium term. It increased its internet subscriber base by 24% to 329,000 in 2005, of which around 190,000 were broadband accounts.
