MT signs cooperation pact with Russia’s MTT

2 Mar 2006

Hungary’s fixed line incumbent Magyar Telekom has signed a network services cooperation agreement with Russian operator Multiregional Transit Telecom (MTT), which will allow Hungarians to make cheaper and better quality calls to all of Russia’s regions. In return, MTT, which was established in 1994 to offer wholesale international services to Russia’s 300 regional fixed and wireless service providers, will be able to establish direct connections in southeast Europe.
