Vodafone Spain upgrades 3G video calling

28 Feb 2006

Mobile operator Vodafone Spain has contracted Acme Packet to upgrade its 3G video telephony service. Acme Packet will deploy its Net-Net session border controllers to deliver 3G video telephony services to Vodafone subscribers. The Net-Net controllers will extend the capabilities of Vodafone Spain’s W-CDMA network to enable seamless real-time video telephony calling over both wireless and wireline connections. The solution features adaptive NAT traversal technology enabling video calls to cross data firewalls over a broadband connection at the customer premise from a secure network element managed by Vodafone.
