Regional pay-TV provider DirecTV has signed an agreement with Telmex Argentina to provide broadband services in the country, according to a report in local newspaper Infobae. Under the deal, Telmex will provide its network infrastructure to enable DirecTV to offer broadband services along with its cable TV offering. The satellite TV company has said it plans to bundle the two products together. It hopes to eventually be able to offer voice services in addition to a full triple-play service. The offering is expected to be launched in the provinces of Rosario and Cordoba first, before being expanded to Buenos Aires later.
