27 Feb 2006

Hopling Technologies, a Dutch company which specialises in wireless networking technologies, has completed the build of a Wi-Fi mesh network at 20 major stations and hotspot coverage of 50 train stations in the country, according to Telecompaper. Hopling is working with KPN, which is managing the project for the National Dutch Rail Authority. The wireless mesh network is a self-healing solution which provides seamless coverage for customers using KPN’s HotSpots service. Meanwhile, Hopling has rolled out its multiple Hopling gateways and access points – equipped with the standard virtual gateway (VGW) technology – to provide hotspot coverage in a further 50 stations.
