27 Feb 2006

Brazil’s third largest fixed line operator Brasil Telecom is to launch internet TV (IPTV) services, according to BNamericas citing local news provider InvestNews. The telco will launch the service in the third quarter of 2006 and has received proposals from six providers wishing to partner it in delivering IPTV. The service, which will provide video-on-demand and electronic gaming, is seen as an important value added service that is likely to attract interest from other operators.
