Ofcom publishes VoIP consultation

24 Feb 2006

UK telecoms regulator Ofcom has taken its first steps towards regulating the country’s fledgling VoIP market by issuing a consultation document outlining basic consumer protection measures and guidelines for investigating complaints. The document is available on the regulator’s website, www.ofcom.org.uk. Interested parties have until May to respond to the proposals and Ofcom expects to publish its decision in August.
