TDC’s Baltic mobile subsidiary Bite, has unveiled 3G rollout plans for its operations in Lithuania and Latvia. The cellco won a 3G licence in Lithuania earlier this month, and plans to launch services in the country’s five biggest cities in April. It said it will increase coverage to over 20 cities by the third quarter of 2006 and 40 cities by the end of the year, and invest LTL1 billion (USD340 million) in the rollout. In Latvia Bite plans to begin offering 3G services in June in the capital Riga, expanding to other major cities later in the year. It said it would add HSDPA to the networks in both countries in the future.
