Verizon expands after MCI takeover

According to a report in local newspaper Infobae, US telecoms operator Verizon has announced plans to expand its operations in Argentina after taking control of the local unit of MCI in January this year. Verizon, which is operating as Verizon Business in the country, said it will increase its staff and expand its presence in the internet and broadband arena, with a strong emphasis on VoIP technology.
