Ministry plans to build new broadband internet backbone

Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Communications, Nikolai Strukov, says the government plans to create a broadband internet access backbone as the first stage of the Belarusian Informatisation programme. According to the Ministry’s official data, the broadband internet access market in Belarus totals 500,000 users.
