Optus Mobile offers converged GPRS/W-CDMA/W-LAN service

Australian cellco Optus Mobile has deployed Azaire Networks’ platform to provide a converged network solution that fully integrates wireless LAN (W-LAN) technology with its existing W-CDMA 3G network. Optus’ recently-launched Wireless Connect laptop datacard service utilises Azaire’s IP Converged Network Platform (IP-CNP) to offer users seamless service access across multiple technologies including GPRS, W-CDMA and W-LAN.
