15 Feb 2006

Korean handset maker Samsung Electronics has signed a deal with French telecoms operator Bouygues Télécom, privately-owned TV network TF1 and broadcasting equipment maker VDL, for the supply of digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) phones. Samsung will supply its SGH-P900T model to the companies which are spearheading the launch of the new service in the country. DMB phones enable users to watch real-time TV programmes broadcast from terrestrial transmitters.
