Voxtel revenue rises 51%

Moldova’s leading mobile operator, Voxtel, has reported a 51% jump in its revenue in the year ending 31 December 2005 to USD74.1 million, according to General Director Francis Gelibter. The company’s investments in the year stood at USD21.9 million, while its customer base grew to 659,000 during the year, up from 458,000 at the end of 2004; the figure is expected to rise to 800,000 by the end of this year. Voxtel, which is majority-owned by France Telecom, launched its GSM network in 1998.
