8 Feb 2006

Vodafone Fiji has announced plans to spend NZD73 million (USD49.82 million) to upgrade its mobile network to 3G. The company’s managing director Aslam Khan says work on the project will be carried out by Ericsson of Sweden and will begin shortly. The multimillion dollar network upgrade will enable users, including visitors from New Zealand which account for over 20% of the country’s visitor numbers, to benefit from all the usual features offered by high speed mobile services.
