T-Com to connect 90% of Berlin to VDSL

T-Com, the fixed line unit of Deutsche Telekom (DT) has announced plans to connect 90% of the households in Berlin to its VDSL network by the end of this year. The operator is laying around 3,800km of fibre optic cable to build out the network, which it claims will cover 50 cities across the country by the end of 2007.
