Indosat outlines 3G investment plans... if it wins

7 Feb 2006

Indosat has claimed that should it win the tender currently taking place in Indonesia for a 3G licence, it may invest more than USD215 million in rolling out a next-generation network. The figure does not form part of the company’s 2006 capital expenditure budget of USD670 million. Indosat, who provide wireless services via mobile arm Satelindo, went on to say that, should it materialise, it expects the investment to begin bringing in returns in three years time. The winners of the tender will be announced on February 14.
