EADS wins Hungarian TETRA contract

EADS, a leading provider and integrator of digital trunked radio-based systems, has won a contract to provide the infrastructure for a new radio communications system for the Hungarian security and emergency services. Under the contract EADS will supply its TETRA radio system to Pro-M, a joint venture between T-Mobile Hungary and Magyar Telekom. The system is scheduled to be up and running by January 2006. No financial details were disclosed.
