TVnet to offer improved services over upgraded broadband network

1 Feb 2006

Hungarian broadband internet provider TVnet says it plans to launch services over its new improved network from 1 February, thanks to an investment of HUF800 million (USD3.85 million) to expand its infrastructure. The company will offer ADSL customers download speeds of up to 1Mbps for HUF6,000 (USD28.90) a month, and will initially launch in Budapest before increasing coverage to other major cities later this year. TVnet, which was acquired by Euroexpert Holding in 2004, posted revenues of HUF1 billion (USD4.8 million) in 2005 and nearly doubled its broadband subscriber base from 8,500 to 15,000.
