Eurocom customers surge in 2005

According to a report in local news agency BNS, Lithuanian ‘virtual’ fixed and mobile provider Eurocom has reported a 25% surge in its customer base for 2005 to 28,747. Of the total, 17,234 were wireless subscribers and 11,511 fixed line users. The company’s turnover for the year, however, was flat at LTL26.74 million (EUR7.75 million), although it hopes to boost this to LTL30 million in 2006. Eurocom is owned by retail giant Vilniaus Prekyba, and offers fixed and mobile services over the networks of Lietuvos Telekomas and Bite GSM.
