Bahrain’s Batelco has announced it is planning to lower the prices of its high speed internet access services in response to customer satisfaction research which found that almost 50% of its customers believe that its tariffs are too high and expect faster access for their money. Batelco wants to charge lower rates for an entry-level broadband service offering speeds of 256kbps/64kbps, with a 2GB download threshold. The telco added that the offer requires regulatory approval from the TRA before it is rolled out to subscribers.
