Canadian telco Aliant today announced its full year results for 2005, which it claims show a return to ‘business as usual’ and a strong financial recovery from damaging labour disputes in 2004. Consolidated revenues for the year were up 3.1% to CAD2.097 billion (USD1.821 billion) and net income increased by 52.6% to CAD199.4 million (USD173.2 million). Mobile revenues were up 13.8%, driven by an 11.9% increase in subscribers and a 4% rise in ARPU, whilst internet turnover grew 10.7% on the back of a 41.8% increase in broadband customers.
