New Zealand’s largest alternative fixed line operator TelstraClear has said it will invest NZD20 million over the next two years to roll out a new fibre network covering the lower South Island region. The investment forms part of the telco’s wider NZD120 million strategy to improve its fixed line infrastructure. The new South Island network will ink the cities of Dunedin, Gore, Invercargill, Queenstown and Christchurch. TelstraClear is a subsidiary of Australia’s dominant operator Telstra.
