Jazztel expands with VoDSL and VoIP solutions

Spanish telco Jazztel has contracted UK-based Dataflex to provide it with voice over DSL (VoDSL) and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) access devices as part of its expansion of voice and data services. Dataflex will install its ViNE 1100 ADSL and 2400 SHDSL series combined voice and data units for residential and SME users. The units are fully interoperable with a range of softswitch suppliers including the Huawei switches used extensively throughout the Jazztel network. Jazztel has rolled out local access network infrastructure in more than 100 metropolitan areas and business zones in Spain which, along with its 7,367km backbone, is capable of providing transmission capacity of up to 720Gbps.
