It’s service as normal, well not quite

Following a week-long shutdown of all mobile services in Nepal, state-backed operator Nepal Telecom has been given permission to reactivate services for all post-paid contract customers, but pay-as-you-go users will remain disconnected from the network. Meanwhile, the country’s second GSM network operator, Mero Mobile, remains on the black list and cannot restart services. Local press reports suggest that fixed wireless operator United Telecom Limited has lost over USD180,000 since the shut down was put in force.
