Novator, the investment vehicle of Icelandic tycoon Throe Bjorgolfsson, has bought a call option for 65% of Bulgaria Telecom Company (BTC). The option follows a November agreement between Novator and US equity fund Advent International, which took over state owned BTC in 2004. Novator’s option relates to Viva Ventures, which took control of BTC in a EUR230 million deal.
