Today is the deadline for the submission of applications for three CDMA 2000 1x mobile licences in Georgia. According to the National Commission for Communication Control, no applications had been submitted as of Friday. The auction for the concessions is scheduled to take place on 7 February. There are currently three mobile operators in Georgia: Magticom, Geocell and Megacom.
