Spending up at Sibirtelecom

The Russian telco Sibirtelecom, which offers both fixed line and cellular services across Siberia, says its investments in wireline infrastructure and services reached RUB6.2 billion in 2005, up 11% on the 2004 figure. Mobile investments were around USD100 million. The firm, which is part of the state-controlled Svyazinvest group, had around four million wireline subscribers and two million cellular customers at the end of 2005.
