New wireless rates raise tariffs

The cessation of wireless tariff regulation has seen an increase in rates of between 5% and 7%, according to local daily La Republica. Ola has reportedly hiked its prices by 5% for residential customers, as has Comcel. Telefonica Moviles chose to raise rates by 7.5% from 1 January, though only for post-paid users.
