Finnish telecoms equipment manufacturer Nokia has entered into a patent licence agreement with Japanese rival Kyocera Corp, ending a number of long running patent disputes between the two companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Kyocera is licensed under numerous Nokia patents relating to CDMA, PDC and PHS standards, and will pay royalties to the Finnish vendor. Reciprocally, Nokia is licensed under all of Kyocera’s essential patents, and some additional patents, relating to all standards and covering all Nokia mobile phone, module and infrastructure products, Nokia said.
