MTN undecided on Tunisia and Egyptian investments

The MTN Group has announced that it has not made a final decision on whether to bid for a stake in Tunisia Telecom or enter the race for the third Egyptian wireless concession. The company has already pre-qualified for the sale of a 35% in Tunisie Telecom, and is required to submit its final bid by the end of March. In Egypt it is reported to be planning a ‘joint bid’ for the licence, but has refused to release further details until the tender documents have been released.
