Andinatel removes more heads than Henry VIII in a year

9 Jan 2006

Government-run fixed line telco Andinatel has fired its executive president Gales Chiriboga, reports BNamericas. The decision was allegedly taken because the board of the Ecuadorian operator disapproved of Chiriboga’s recent handling of a disagreement with Ecuador Telecom (Ecutel) over the usage of fibre-optic infrastructure. Board member Edison Leon Perez has been installed as interim president, the company’s eighth head in the last year.
