NTS contracts Ericsson for 3G upgrade

Indonesian mobile operator Natrindo Telepon Seluler (NTS), a subsidiary of Malaysia’s Maxis Communications, has contracted Ericsson to build, operate and manage its mobile network and supply 3G equipment for its new W-CDMA network in Jakarta and the surrounding areas. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.

The cellco has also signed a deal with LogicaCMG to provide a suite of telecoms products and solutions to enable mobile data and charging services.
