TSO set

23 Dec 2005

New Zealand’s Commerce Commission has announced the preliminary cost of the Telecom Service Obligations (TSO), which is paid to dominant operator Telecom by all telcos to cover the expense of providing services to remote areas. The Commission has set the TSO for the year to the end of June 2004 at NZD41.2 million. Once finalised, the cost will be split between Telecom and its rivals. Interested parties have until 3 February next year to make submissions.
