Israeli international telco Barak has forged a collaboration agreement with equipment vendor Alvarion for the rollout of WiMAX technology. Barak filed an application with the Ministry of Communications to conduct a WiMAX trial a few months ago, and now claims to be ready to launch a pilot in five industrial areas, at a cost of NIS500,000.
