Taiwanese mobile operator Chunghwa Telecom has signed a deal with software provider Trend Micro to offer its subscribers downloadable anti-virus software. Subscribers are being offered Trend Micro Mobile Security to protect their handsets against threats of viruses and SMS spam messages free of charge until March 31 2006, after which the service will be offered via subscription for USD2 a month.
