Intelsat has announced that it has won a long-term, multi-million dollar contract from Millicom International Cellular, Chad’s newest cellco, to provide cellular backhaul services to multiple locations within the country. MIC had already launched services in the capital N’Djamena, which will be extended to six other cities over coming months. In addition to providing domestic backhaul services, Intelsat will be responsible for carrying its international link via the 702 satellite.
