State rumoured to be mulling TeliaSonera sale

According to reports in the Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri, the government of Finland is rumoured to be planning the sale of a large portion of its shares in Finnish/Swedish telecoms giant TeliaSonera. Sources suggest that the government could even sell its entire 13% holding. Finland’s Trade and Industry Minister Mauri Pekkarinen declined to comment on the rumour, as did TeliaSonera’s chairman Tom von Weymarn.
