BT to take the gloves off in VoIP battle

UK incumbent BT has announced it is to slash the prices of its VoIP services in a bid to undercut the likes of Skype and win a major share of the flourishing internet calls market. The telco will launch a revamped VoIP product in February 2006 which it claims will be cheaper than Skype for 50 of the most popular call destinations.
