Entel to launch first WiMAX services in Chile and Peru

Chilean fixed line operator Entel is investing USD5 million to launch the country’s first WiMAX network, according to BNamericas. The new network, covering 14 cities, will provide corporate and high-end users with access to high speed voice, data and multimedia services. Entel is also deploying a similar WiMAX project in the Peruvian capital Lima, through local unit Americatel Perú.
