Lebanon prepares for DSL in 2006

5 Dec 2005

According to government-owned telecoms operator Ogero, Lebanon will launch a DSL service in 2006 to meet pent up demand for high speed internet access. The new technology could be available to homes and businesses in the country from as early as January. Ogero says that although it has had the technology up and running for a long time, problems with sorting out regulations and licences for DSL providers have delayed a full-blown launch.
