Fixed lines drop in Q3

According to Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH), the total number of fixed line subscriptions in the country at the end of September dropped to 3.5 million, from 3.6 million a year earlier. The number of mobile customers in the country rose to 9.1 million at the same date, while internet users grew by 22% to 832,000. Q3 05 was the first period that the total length of calls initiated from mobile phones surpassed that of calls on land lines.
